The event

As part of the National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility (Nationales Kompetenznetzwerk für nachhaltige Mobilität [NaKoMo]), workshops are organised on a regular basis to enable local authorities and stakeholders such as municipal transport organisations to exchange experiences and expertise. NaKoMo is the central platform for sustainable mobility at the federal, state and local levels. Its goal is to connect effectively stakeholders in the area of sustainable mobility.

The workshop Implementing Mobility Platforms – Discussion of lessons-learned and exchange of experiences” is devoted to the joint project Mobility Inside, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Digitalisation and Transportation (BMDV) under the funding program ”Digitalisation of Municipal Transport Systems” (Förderrichtlinie “Digitalisierung kommunaler Verkehrssysteme” [DkV]). The project aims to create a nationwide platform for the public transport sector to which municipal transport systems can connect their mobility-apps. In addition to a keynote speech by the Association of German Transport Companies (Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen [VDV]), best practices from the Mobility Inside project are presented. The second part of the event focuses on exchanging ideas and discussing possibilities and challenges of mobility platforms and industry-wide initiatives. Participants are invited to contribute to identifying solutions and potentials.

The event is intended primarily for employees in municipal transport companies and civic administrations. Registration by e-mail is required and open until 11 May 2022. The number of participants is limited.
