Heiko Böhme is head of the department "Transport System Management / Research Projects" in the Office for Transport Management of the state capital Düsseldorf. In this function, he was, among other things, network coordinator for the federal funding projects KoMoD - Cooperative Mobility in the Digital Test Field Düsseldorf and KoMoDnext - Automated Driving in the Digital Test Field Düsseldorf. Heiko Böhme has been working in the field of cooperative traffic management for more than 20 years, first at the city of Frankfurt am Main and since 2002 at the state capital Düsseldorf. Here he was responsible for the projects Dmotion - Düsseldorf in Motion and UR:BAN - Urban Space: User-friendly assistance systems and network management, among others. Under his leadership, the Düsseldorf traffic control centre was continuously expanded into a networked, cooperative traffic system management centre. In addition, Heiko Böhme has been a member of the "Traffic and Mobility Management" working group of the German Association of Cities since 2010.
