Discover the mobility turnaround in Cologne!
During the polisMOBILITY expo & conference on Friday, 26.05.2023, the city of Cologne will offer two free bicycle excursions through the city area. Here you will have the chance to get to know best practice examples together with experts from the city. Find out how pedestrian and bicycle traffic can be given more space and how commercial streets can be freed from motor vehicle traffic without major construction work in order to increase the quality of stay for all citizens.
The 90-minute tours begin and end at the City of Cologne stand in Hall 1 of the polisMOBILITY expo & conference. In two groups of up to 15 people, you will visit several stations in the city area and learn how the mobility transition can be successfully implemented in an urban environment.
On Ehrenstrasse, the participants experience the future pedestrian zone with the help of an augmented reality app and how cycling can be safe and comfortable on the more than 9 km long cycle lane of the adjacent Cologne Ring. Another highlight of the tour is the visit to the Deutzer Freiheit traffic trial.
