Mobile en route
Mobile en route – with all means of transport
The future of urban mobility has already begun. It is multimodal, digitally networked, sustainable and shared. We unite new technologies, concepts and business models into a new idea of being mobile in urban space.
How do an ever-increasing number of people get from A to B to Z? How can cities become nicer to live in? In the light of the high traffic, emission and noise loads, this is one of the most pressing challenges for cities. The key to an efficient, "clean" mobility lies in the intermodality: It unites existing means of public transport and innovative mobility options in a diversified network that can be flexibly combined. Mobility stations at busy intersections of the public transport system simplify changing between the integrated means of transport – train, bus, bicycle, car sharing, scooters, e-bikes: This makes the routes easier and increases the quality of life in the city.
"Mobility on-demand": on the road, on water, in the air
Multimodal, connected mobility offers can be extended by innovative private and public transport solutions: In the city of tomorrow ferries, cable cars, suspension railways, air and water taxis or hyperloops will transport the people, drones will be in charge of urban deliveries. New technologies such as automated driving and new mobility services such as "Mobility as a Service" (MaaS) or "Mobility on Demand" (MoD) offer further exciting approaches for urban transport. In addition to these there are intelligent solutions for parking, assistance functions, cross-sector charging as well as connected transport and logistics systems.
Sharing means of transport instead of owning them
Technologies such as e-mobility, CO2-neutral drives or autonomous driving and new services will fundamentally change individual transport. Trends such as digitalisation, electrification or sharing also help solve transport problems. In future the urban mobility will to a large extent be digital, electric and shared. People can call up information via the Internet and smartphones round the clock and use new mobility services such as bike, scooter, car or ride sharing.
At polisMOBILITY you can experience concepts and solutions for the urban mobility of tomorrow live. Lectures, showrooms and themed islands provide information on the new forms of connected mobility, they will come alive in real-life laboratories and experimental rooms.
