Restart urban planning! Energy and mobility transition in development areas

Equipping new-build districts with intelligent mobility concepts seems to be a much easier task than transforming existing buildings. Nevertheless, implementation is by no means a sure-fire success, which is not always, but often due to long decision-making processes and rigid legal requirements. In this panel, we take a look at the implementation level and ask: How do we bring the energy and mobility transition to new-build districts? In doing so, we will include both antiquated regulations such as parking space statutes and the new roles, challenges and obligations of municipal and private sector players in the discussion.
