About Dr. Georg Kobiela
Dr. Georg Kobiela holds a doctorate in physical chemistry and studied political science and economics. He took over the political management of Bellona Germany at the beginning of 2024. Georg had already worked on industrial transformation and the energy system before that, in the NGO context at Germanwatch and in transformation research at the Wuppertal Institute. He also regularly teaches at universities and colleges on the climate crisis, planetary boundaries and the challenges of transformation.
