About Dr. Jochen Eisenbrand
Jochen Eisenbrand (*1970) is Chief Curator of the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. After studying Applied Cultural Studies at the University of Lüneburg, he completed his doctorate at the University of Wuppertal in 2013. His dissertation was published in 2014 under the title "George Nelson. A designer in the Cold War". At the Vitra Design Museum, he organized the exhibitions "Night Fever. Design and Club Culture 1960-today' (2018), 'Sculpture. Rethinking the World" (2022) as well as retrospectives on Louis Kahn (2012), Alvar Aalto (2014) and Alexander Girard (2016). Eisenbrand is co-editor of the "Atlas of Furniture Design".
