Frank Zimmermann is working as a senior consultant at ifok since January 2021, focusing on citizen participation and the mobility transition. Part of his work is to manage and moderate projects on citizen and stakeholder participation for municipalities and at the state level. Previously, he worked in various functions for the city of Heidelberg. From 2011 to 2020, he headed the Citizen Participation Coordination Office there, focusing on the development and evaluation of guidelines for citizen participation as well as on the management of complex participation processes, especially in the areas of urban development and transport. From 2008 to 2011, he established the municipal mobility management in the Office for Traffic Management of the City of Heidelberg and headed the Agenda Office of the City of Heidelberg from 1999 to 2008.
