Bosch's digital logistics platform L.OS has gained a foothold in the market. Bosch's offering is already being used by 50 customers in Europe, India and the USA. The first customers include 20 logistics companies from Germany and India and ten from the USA. In addition, more than 50 service providers will be integrated into the digital marketplace. Last year, Bosch announced a strategic collaboration with the US cloud provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) to digitalize logistics. The transportation and logistics sector is considered the backbone of the global economy. Bosch sees great market opportunities for its logistics services to increase efficiency. The company is aiming for global sales of around 500 million euros by 2030 and has set up its own unit with over 400 associates for the digital platform business.

The digital L.OS platform from Bosch provides logistics and transportation companies worldwide with quick and easy access to IT services. This enables them to work more efficiently and sustainably. The special thing about L.OS is that it is open to all providers of logistics solutions and enables smooth interaction between different services and data. Freight forwarders and freight companies can take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization without having to carry out their own resource-intensive and costly IT projects.

In India, for example, Bosch's own tracking solution "TrakZeus" has been available from the outset, enabling efficient fleet and transport management as well as route and parking planning. With "Digital CN", transport documents such as bills of lading can be digitized quickly and easily and transmitted securely via cell phone. In Europe, L.OS is being launched with a first service integration that enables the booking of secure truck parking spaces as an addi-tional feature for existing transportation management systems. In the USA, a special transportation management system simplifies and manages processes for fleets.

In July, Bosch established the transnational "Mobility Platform and Services" business unit, which focuses on the development of digital platforms. Over 400 associates in Europe, India and the USA are responsible for the further development and support of Bosch's digital platforms. These include the "Mobility Marketplace", a neutral, digital e-commerce marketplace, "ParkZeus", an integrated parking management platform, and the "Logistics Operating System" L.OS.

"The establishment of a separate business unit underlines the importance of the digitalization of mobility for Bosch with the help of cloud-based plat-forms. With our platforms, we want to support companies in working together on innovations and solutions for complex challenges. Together, we are driving forward the vision of sustainable and safe mobility via digital platforms," says Sandeep Nelaman-gala, Executive Director at Bosch and responsible for the digital platforms business.
