Highlights Day 3 - 20.05.2022

On Friday, "transformation" was one of the focus topics of the polisMOBILITY conference programme: While the transformation of the automotive industry was discussed at openSTAGE, the Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen e.V. (Association of German Transport Companies) looked at the question of what changes await us in public transport on the way to innovative urban mobility. In addition to a review of the implementation of a sustainable "last mile", the panel discussion on "Cyber-Security - Achilles Heel of the Mobility and Energy Transition?" set exciting accents. Alongside other formats, including from EIT Urban Mobility,

HANDWERK.NRW and the Stadt.Land.Digital initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, sociologist Prof. Dr. Harald Welzer concluded the conference day with a thought-provoking lecture.

The "TALAKO" project was presented on the third day of the event as part of the #polisMOBILITY Best Practices: In the future, e-taxis in Cologne can be charged wirelessly and while driving! The project is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, among others.

And there was a breath of fresh air at the Elevator Pitch: Yesterday and the day before, start-ups from the mobility sector presented themselves at activeSTAGE. In addition to software solutions for more efficient traffic flow, the topics included carpooling, fully autonomous buses and battery charging infrastructure. In almost two hours, the young entrepreneurs had the chance to inspire the audience with their ideas. The Elevator Pitch took place in cooperation with KölnBusiness Wirtschaftsförderung, Oracle, Enterprise Ireland and EIT Manufacturing.
